"In a world that demands perfection,
we choose the beauty of stumbling"

Onze visie over clownerie
Clowning is the art of failing, magnifying human failings, and showing vulnerability in a way that connects us through humor, recognition, and wonder.
The clown magnifies life's small stumbling blocks—physical, emotional, or social—into a playing field where laughter and emotion go hand in hand. Not to escape the world, but to stand at its center with open eyes and an open heart.
Clowning isn't a character. It's not a costume party. It's a craft. A form of poetry in action based on presence, physical awareness, emotional honesty, and the courage to fail... and to stand tall.
The clown does not seek laughter, but earns it by revealing himself completely, without a mask,
What is Buster
Buster is a studio specializing in clowning as an art form, where the powerful expression of humanity, vulnerability, and authenticity are central. Our approach is inspired by legendary film and character clowns such as Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd, and Lucille Ball, who, with their subtle humor and physical expression, captured the power of failure and imperfection. We bring this essence into the present with workshops that invite people to discover themselves and connect through playfulness and humor. Our workshops are accessible to a wide audience: from professional actors and artists to healthcare providers, athletes, and those seeking personal growth. In a safe and supportive environment, we encourage participants to break the taboo of failure and embrace vulnerability. At Buster, we use clowning as a tool for creativity, self-confidence, and social connection. We create a space where participants can experiment, learn, and laugh as an essential path to self-development and well-being. We don't play the clown ; we show who we are: clumsy, vulnerable, and playful.

Workshops
What to expect: In our clowning workshops, we don't look for the "funny" clown, but for your own clown. The one inside you who makes mistakes, wonders, stubbornly keeps trying, and thus becomes disarming.
Why is this worth it? In a world full of control and perfection, clowning is an exercise in letting go. It teaches you to play again, to listen, and to be yourself without a mask—a magnifying glass on your humanity.
